Yes after we take a complete history and exam you will be adjusted. In most cases, we are able to adjust patients by diversified techniques or an activator. In our office, before we adjust a patient, we perform soft tissue work to loosen up muscles by either trigger point therapy or active release technique prior to being adjusted. We believe loosening up the muscles prior to adjusting is more beneficial for the patient's condition. Patients can see results faster this way. Dr. Carine Chery will always use the most appropriate technique to minimize any discomfort and give advice on how to help yourself at home.
At Chery Chiropractic Center fees will be discussed and insurance verified before your treatment begins. We accept the following insurance:
- Blue Cross/Blue Shield
- Cigna
- Humana
- United Health Care
- Medicare
We will never tell you that you have to come to our chiropractic office forever. Once you are feeling better it is your choice to decide to come in on an as-needed basis or to continue to come for wellness care.
We do not work with medical doctors, but I frequently refer patients to a medical doctor after taking their history and examining them thoroughly. If I conclude that they have a systemic problem, this is when I will make a referral.
Yes, we strongly recommend exercises and we teach patients different types of exercises to do in order for them to achieve muscle balance.
The range of care one can receive with chiropractic can be helpful to many people, but I do not think it is a cure for everything. We will do our best to make sure we do everything to help relieve your pain and treat your symptoms.
You do not need a referral from your primary doctor because we are in-network with most of the major insurance companies.
X-rays are not always necessary when you visit Chery Chiropractic Center. The decision to have X-rays is based on the patient's history and exam.
Yes because we focus on helping them with their tight muscles, lack of range of motions, and we teach them proper ways of stretching and exercises to strengthen their lower back.
Dr. Carine Chery became a chiropractor because she loves helping people and showing them that there are different ways of treatments and that prescription drugs are not the answer to helping. She likes to find the cause of the issue, not mask it with pain medication. We will never prescribe pain medication at our chiropractic office.
